I'm Back

Hello my lovely readers :)

So it's been awhile since I've written. I greatly apologize to you for that!
Let me give you an update on where my life is.

I am still a single mom, raising 3 kids. My girls are almost done with dance for this season. That will be a nice break this summer- although I would like to find something for them to do over the summer. Some type of tumbling class maybe??? My son is growing so much. He is the little man of the house. He's so mature, but yet so goofy and funny. My coworkers love to hear my "Robert stories" :)

I work at my church, also volunteer there. I love everything about it and it has really became my second home. I am truly blessed to be part of this ministry. I can't get enough and wish I had more time in the day to take on more projects. As a staff we are currently reading John Bevere's Driven by Eternity book. If you have not read John's books I highly recommend them. He uses awesome allegories.

I recently stepped in to help coach the middle school cheerleaders in my small town. i love them already. They are all so cute and remind me what it's like to be a young girl. That can be a good and bad thing, lol, but mostly good. I've really enjoyed working with these young ladies and am excited for the rest of the season!

Physically I am at my plateau. The familiar place I always come back to when i get relaxed in my healthy lifestyle. So here I am getting myself back on track. Let's do it together. Yes I still sell Advocare (www.JulieNapper.com), but I really want to focus on my own willpower. Being a healthy person comes from within. You have to have the mentality to do it- every day. It has to become who you are as a person. Not something you have to think about and calculate. That will always fail you. If you can make healthy choices because that is the desire in your heart then you will always win.

I work out because I like the way it makes me feel. I am happier when i go to the gym. i enjoy coming up with new routines and seeing my progress. I enjoy watching other people work out (is that weird?)
My struggle is with eating. That is where I need to discipline myself until it becomes a habit and a desire.
Which do you struggle with??

ok that's enough for now- more to come :)

Missed you- love you- #GladImBack

Stretching for flexibility

Stretching is such a critical aspect of life. Stretching will not only improve your athletic abilities it will also help prevent injuries. When you stretch it allows your joints to move in their full range of motion. This is also a great technique to get blood to flow to your muscles. When it comes to cheerleading stretching is a huge aspect. Why? because the focus is on flexibility. When my cheerleaders ask me how to get better jumps- my answer is always to stretch daily. So how do you stretch for cheer? - First you never want to start with cold muscles. So first thing to do is is a light jog for 5-10 minutes. After that your muscled will be warm and ready to be stretched out. - Next focus on your major muscle groups and muscles that you use frequently. For cheer, that would be your calves, hamstrings, quads and hips.It is also a good idea to stretch your back and neck. - When you stretch your right side, make sure you are also stretching your left side. - Hold your stretch
