My favorite diet-tracker app.

Lose It!- I love this app. Not only because its a super cool phone app but it also have a Google Chrome widget. This makes for super easy logging all the time.
-They have a large food database so I know whatever I'm eatting will be in there. And if by chance it's not- then its incredibly easy to create a new food.
This tracks not only my intake calories but also what I burn with my excersizes.
-It keeps track of my weight loss goals in a nice little chart.
-I can connect and share with friends as much or as little as I want.
- I can join specific groups and challenges. These are great. For example my last challenge was a fruits and veggies one. I got points for each fruit and veggie that I logged and I ended up coming in 3rd place at the end of the challenge- yay me!
- you get badges. ok these are a little corny but hey everyone likes to get a sticker that says "well done!"
-Reports- these are my favorite part. I can track the percentage of my carbs vs. protein vs. fats each day. I can look at weekly reports. See what foods I eat the most.
-and the best part is the "choosemyplate.gov" feature that is a little visual of a healthy plate of food. When I have met my daily goal for each food group then that section of the plate lights up.

Stretching for flexibility

Stretching is such a critical aspect of life. Stretching will not only improve your athletic abilities it will also help prevent injuries. When you stretch it allows your joints to move in their full range of motion. This is also a great technique to get blood to flow to your muscles. When it comes to cheerleading stretching is a huge aspect. Why? because the focus is on flexibility. When my cheerleaders ask me how to get better jumps- my answer is always to stretch daily. So how do you stretch for cheer? - First you never want to start with cold muscles. So first thing to do is is a light jog for 5-10 minutes. After that your muscled will be warm and ready to be stretched out. - Next focus on your major muscle groups and muscles that you use frequently. For cheer, that would be your calves, hamstrings, quads and hips.It is also a good idea to stretch your back and neck. - When you stretch your right side, make sure you are also stretching your left side. - Hold your stretch
